Arena 6 - The Undernet (Bracket One)

[Trismegustis]

Z5i31's Shoryuken goes wild as he's headbutted, and he's knocked back across the battlefield, landing on a thin stretch of platform, and spinning slightly to shed the extra momentum. He rises to his feet quickly, and laughs uproariously.

"Leave it to 'ol Hawkye, the man brave enough to headbutt a robot in the crotch FOR JUSTICE!"

He twirls the bazooka and inputs another code, and a cord extends from his lack-of-neck into the bazooka.

[Hawkye]

"YES! For great justice!"

Hawkye thusts his fist forward in an over-the-top manner.

"Brider Puuuuunch!"

His fist sparked into a sphere of electricity which would remin pulsing for a few seconds before vanishing.

(Apologies for the delay... Moving woes. We've gone over the month mark, does that mean this battle has been called?)
(Just to be sure, I'll respond anyway.)

Z5i31 takes a half-step forward and seems to slip, as if on a banana peel, falling backwards JUST out of the way of the lightning, though the edge of it still catches his face and crackles along it to his antenna... He falls back, but catches himself and floats slightly above the ground... and levels the Combo Bazooka from there.

"Ready, Steady-"

He pulls the trigger... and a COLOSSAL beam of multicolored particles, wider even than the muzzle of the bazooka, flies out.
PHOTON CANNON!

[Hawkye]

(OOC: I frankly would rather not end this prematurely due to a technicality. I'm having too much fun with it. It's also "Proton Cannon," just by-the-by.)

Hawkye can't help but shout "INFINITY!" at the familiar multicolored blast. He attempts to cartwheel out of the way and mostly succeeds, but the large beam clips him and sends him spinning. He drops to one knee and holds his head in one hand.

"Systems down," he mutters to himself as he waits for the world to stop spinning.

The -PHO PROTON CANNON! is immensely, shockingly powerful. It is also really, REALLY hard to re-aim... It is taking all of Z5i31's not inconsiderable strength to keep his bazooka steady and avoid being flung off into the abyss by the kickback of the beam... So when Hawkye dodges, he is left prone, continuing to fire the massive beam in the original direction he pointed it in.

Not that it's THAT much of a weakness... It's still covering the only bridge that connects his position with Hawkye's, so that crossing is impossible... but he can't re-aim or stop firing. Not until the attack is finished.

Hawkye stands up and brushes himself off. He stares at the multicolored beam until it's about ready to stop because hey - it's pretty and he might not get the chance again.

Attempting to time it with the beam's cease-fire, he crosses his arms in front of his chest.

"Haoh..."
