Speedy

The story behind him is an enigma. There are a few dozen stories which could be correct, but nobody is really sure. Whether he was the assistant to Dr.Light in his home dimension, or received his elemental powers due to freak accidents, whatever it truly is is unknown.
He has a large underground complex, and is the creator of the Crossroads, a sort of alternate dimension which could be seen as 'a' center of the universe, as a lot of dimensions, but even different time periods are linked to it.
He has met Hawkye in one of his past adventures, and has since been fighting together. He knows Hawkye is, in a way, a lot stronger than he is, but should something happen to his friends, family, or anyone else who is dear to him, he can surpass his own limits- which in itself are pretty high.
If Speedy would ever turn evil, he'd be stronger in his base forms, but his strongest form would be a lot weaker, considering the 'steps' cannot be made since he would not be protecting anyone.
His strongest self, looks basically like an average person with seemingly 'old' blue jeans, and a green shirt, and sneakers you'd expect on any other youthfull person... his power however, is higher than ever.

Weapons:
-S-Buster
A basic buster. Can be converted to S-Cannon. It isn't that strong, and can fire off small and weak plasma shots. When charged, it MAY have a hint of an element.
-S-Cannon
An air-cannon. While it may seem redundant to use an AIR cannon, instead of actual cannon, the pressure behind each shot is stronger than a plasma shot could ever be. When charged, it collects elemental energy as well as plasma to combine in a large shot.
-Mach Cannon
While it's really an S-Cannon with 4 openings instead of one, this no longer fires 'just' air shots, but more a charge shot automatically. When this is charged, it fires off an Elemental Combine shot, which, thanks to the systems built into the cannon, does not take Speedy a lot of energy.
The cannons and busters are usually left unused in stronger fights, because they still weight as much as actual busters and cannons, and as such may slow Speedy down. As his main strength behind his attacks ARE speed, he prefers using his own energy to fire shots.
-S-Saber
A simple saber, which does not break easily, but can be easily replaced. It drains energy from Speedy's armor, making it unable for anyone else to use until Speedy activates the battery of one, which can only be activated by a jolt of energy from Speedy's armor. It can convert to an S-Shield.
-S-Shield
A thin shield, which is basically the many small laser rays from the S-Saber split,
-Katana
A nameless, straight katana with a tip which seems broken diagonally. Nothing could be less true, however, as it's been created that way. It has a small lightning bolt engraved in it. While it seems like a regular sword, this katana can not be dulled and can cut through most materials, including diamond. The few it cannot cut through, it simply clashes with, but will not leave damage on the blade. It's augmented in a way that it can be charged with electricity, making it a sword that either electrocutes on contact, or a form of gun that can fire electrical shots. This is one of the few weapons that Speedy has not personally created, and it is the only weapon that he has no name for. It's 'his katana', nothing more, nothing less.
-Shave Blades
In one of Speedy's previous experiments, he created a blade that uses wind to slice his opponents. Yes. Wind. The opponent cannot see the move coming unless it's too late or the opponent can sense changes in the wind itself. The blades can also be used in some sort of arc, making it sort of 'boomerang' back.
-Shave Blades (FLF Mode)
Or better called, 'Forceful Location Fix'. Slicing the same way he would without this extra mode, small tiny metal balls come out, which then hang still in the air, thanks to the Wind element. A switch on the blade can ensure these balls are covered in large spikes, bigger than the balls themselves.

Tools:
-Jets
He has yet to use these again, as he can fly using his elements, but using his jets he can fly for quite a while. He has two reserve ones, of which one flies as easily as his normal jets, and the last set is barely enough energy to land. While using the jets, Speedy can convert to 'Stealth Mode', where he is completely invisible. If the situation asks for his, his first two sets of jets can also change to bursts of air or shockwaves to keep him in the air, making him basically invisible when in Stealth Mode.
-Power Sphere
Actually a mystical item (reproduced in masses) that can contain any form of electricity, to be released on later date. The trick to getting another element inside is to mix it up with electricity. There always has to be a bit of thunder, but even if it's a spark you could add enough fire to it to create a wide blaze.
When near an electric conduit, the sphere will slowly but surely tap into that power and drain it away slightly. The user wont notice since it's REALLY small amounts, but depending on how long it takes for the user to discharge the orb, it could release an amount the user itself might not handle. Speedy has yet to get in trouble with one of these spheres. Also, they're virtually indestructible. Well, the original was. The reproduced ones are just EXTREMELY tough. Did I already mention Hawkye is the one who got the original from Speedy?
It's highly vulnerable to EMP, as it will rapidly increase the amount of energy tapped from the user, and then slightest hit will result in a burst of every last bit of power inside.

Techniques:
-Elemental Combine:
Quite possibly his strongest AND weakest attack, he combines his basic elements to fire off small energy balls which could hurt any opponent. They are multicolored, obviously switching in a rainbow of colors. It's never the same static color. If Speedy fires off a stronger version, he also puts in the rest of his elements, which makes the energy balls glow with a multicolored aura as well.
He has several variations to the Elemental Combine, such as shooting it off of his sword as sonic boom.. if he used an Elemental Combine multiple times in a fight, he often stops shouting the name or shorts it to EC.
Although the standard elements would be Water, Wind, Fire and Earth, Speedy's basic elements are in fact Lightning, Ice, Fire and Earth. Ice and Fire are his weakest, in fact, his sub elements, Wind, Water, Heat and Wood, are far stronger, even while Water and Heat are Ice and Fire's sub elements.
-Mach Buster
A special technique which uses a fully charged S-Cannon to transfer it's energy to the S-Buster, overloading it, and then creating a strong shockwave combined with the plasma power of the Buster. The Buster will break afterwards, but is of no consequence to Speedy.
-Element Shield
Be it Ice, Fire, Lightning, or any element, it's a basic circular or square wall of energy, which will, depending on the element, cause burns, or freeze opponents, etc. The wind version can also null wind currents, although this may possible put a strain on Speedy.
-Magnet Shield
A fairly complex technique, in which Speedy.. well... simply said, it's TWO layers of electricity, one layer that pretty much is powerfull enough to destroy whatever comes in the contact, the first, cone-shaped towards the center on the shield, is created to induce electromagnetic waves, basically pulling in anything that comes too close. Despite working like a normal electromagnet, even the smallest amount of metal is enough to pull you in.. Considering tapwater contains a small amount of iron, even THAT could be the reason for an electric demise.
-Mach Buster
Resorting to his speed, Speedy fires off several charged shots mixed with elements, and does it that fast and in large quantities, that it becomes a large oval shot which is quite devastating.
-Sudden Explosion
Yeah, it's not the real name for the move, but it's just that. Dont be fooled by the explosion itself- Speedy doesn't need to touch the object to make it explode, but the trick behind it is pretty sneaky. He uses his Fire and Heat elements to suddenly bring something to critical temperature, and creating a small firey explosion, emulating the effect of a real small bomb exploding near you.
-Earth Swim
Again, not the real name, but's it's pretty much what he does. Speedy's control over Earth allows him to vanish through the ground. It's actually the ground moving away, allowing him to go through it. Speedy can sustain himself by bringing in oxygen from above the earth, so it's a great way to stay hidden- but also to catch an unsuspecting foe from the floor. It's not hard for him to pull an enemy.. 'underwater', so to speak.
-Slash Ball
Here's the simplest explanation ever, straight from the 4th RP it was used in:
Speedy started slashing wildly around him, until a strange ball appeared, seemingly made by the slashes. Speedy himself, appeared behind it, and he kicked the ball into Hawkye's direction.

"My attack, i can touch it witout getting hurt.. But anything else and prepare to get heavily slashed. Touch it with your finger if you must, be know your finger will be gone. Kinda like lava. But with slashes."

Forms:
-Base:
How he is normally. He has limited himself as to not accidentally blow stuff up, but still has his speed and several techniques up his sleeves.
-Bot:
Speedy HAD the ability to switch between robot and human, but has managed to merge these two. This form is kind of non-existant now, but still remains in the fact Speedy can now replace any part of his body with a robotic part, so if for some reason he'd suddenly be stuck without internal organs, he can replace them with robotic parts, by only thinking of them.
-Mark I:
Increased his speed. Speedy hasn't used this in ages though, as he would actually SLOW down now.
-Mark II:
Increased his power. Again, Speedy hasn't used this considering he's stronger without it anyway.
-Mark III:
Enabled jets on his armor. His armor is incompatible with Mark III, so he no longer uses it.. besides, his control over his element is so high he can fly anyway.
-Mark IV:
Enabled high-grade scanners... I'm not even going to comment on this.
-Mark V:
Completely released Speedy back then.. however, Mark V was still a robotic form, and released as robot would've been really powerfull back then.. now, it's sort of useless, and Speedy even wonder if this mark, IF ANY, still work.
-Unlimited:
Really his base form. 'Unlimited' only means he removed the limiters, but doesnt give any difference aside from being able to use his elemental attacks beyond 'a little spark'. He can 'switch' his limiters on and off at any moment, so you really see no difference between the two.
-Released:
His hair is suddenly longer, (which is actually how it's SUPPOSED to be) and his entire armor surrounds him. While the armor can usually be summoned at any time (including or excluding helmet) as released it's basically there to ensure he cannot overexert his own powers.
-'Hero' form:
While the name still stands from his original step after Mark V, this USED to be nothing more than Speedy as human in the same outfit he still has, green shirt, worn out jeans and normal sneakers. He has longer hair, like his released state. Back then, this would be Speedy released as human, aka 'merely' stronger than being robotic. However, it is now one of Speedy's greatest forms, and the difference between then and now is obvious by just measuring the power.
-First Step:
Stepping it up from Hero form, Speedy overexerts himself in order to increase his power and speed. He still tries to use this as basic Hero form, but it's still too draining by now.
-Second Step:
Something Speedy can only pull off for a split second before he collapses from using too much energy, he becomes WAY faster than light and could fire fully powered Elemental Combine in spurts.. which is devastating, but it still needs a lot of training.
-Last Step:
While 'weaker' than the Second Step, this is definitely Speedy's strongest form, considering he can keep it up until his enemy is completely gone. If the last step is unlocked, something horrible has happened, and you can be sure Speedy will make sure whoever caused it is.. cleaned up. From the face of the earth.. if there's still an earth.

Elements:
-Lightning
Or Thunder, or whatever you call it. It's his standard element, and obviously his STRONGEST element. What else to say, there isn't any form of lightning Speedy cannot manipulate, aside from the basic ether form. But that's mostly because the only times he has even been NEAR ether, it was coming from Hawkye, and it's quite impossible to control something someone else has full control over.
-Fire
Despite being his second weakest element, it's not weak at all. Speedy has taught himself control over fire, but it's obvious it's not as great as his Lightning powers are. The weakness of this fire element is more getting struck by it, rather than using it himself.
-Ice
His truly weakest, Speedy cannot handle Ice properly. If he wants to use Ice on his body, he needs to activate his armor's capabilities to handle it. He often does the same with Fire, just to be sure not to burn himself. Speedy has low control over Ice, and rarely uses it, unless it feels like the obvious choice.
-Earth
Or Rock, or Ground or whatever you call it. Speedy's control is top notch, and he could probably make himself a floating continent if he wished too. Too much of a hassle, though, what with the continuous draining and all that. Speedy rarely uses his Earth powers, yet never seems to dwindle in control or strength. One of his most sneaky techniques is fueled by his earth powers, considering he can basically swim through earth if he wishes to do so, and by merely thinkin he can raise platforms. One could say earth is in fact his strongest element, but as he rarely uses it for offense, it seems to be quite underestimated.
-Wind
An element Speedy is 'meh' about. He uses his wind powers only to fly if needed, but his electrical nature is enough for that. If Speedy EVER uses Wind, it's because either there's strong winds he doesn't like, his opponent is weak against wind, or it's too hot and he needs a breeze. O_o;
-Heat
..HEAT. Right. It's basically the ability to make stuff warm without the fire attached. Carefull though, as this element is quite more potent. I mean, if you dont see the fire coming, would you know you're getting burned? Although it's yet another element Speedy rarely uses. If anything, he uses it as protection against cold. Yes, cold, not ICE. Hah, everyone knows Ice is weak against Fire... mostly.
-Water
The list goes on with Speedy's useless elements! He BARELY has control, and actually only uses it to breath underwater and as part of the elemental combine. I mean, honestly.. as offensive weapon, what are you gonna do with water? Use Splash Attack? Maybe, but since it didn't help Magicarp, it's not gonna help Speedy.. that and he's actually quite incapable of actually summoning water.
-Wood
What? Nooo noo, I'm not even gonna say anything. It's even LESS usefull than Water! Speedy ONLY uses the elements from this for the elemental combine. Nothing more nothing less. Geez.

Timeline of Speedy

Realization of Powers.
Speedy learns to control his Lightning powers, and later on finds out he's not limited to that element, training himself in the others as well, but finds out Fire and Ice are harder to control.

Accident.
Due to unknown reasons, Speedy loses his human body, but is saved by the means of a robotic form.

Realization of 'Mark' forms.
Happens during battles, he finds the abilities of the Mark forms truly improve him, but at the cost of stamina. He continues training to increase his stamina, but his robotic body limits him.

Complex is built.
With the help of an outside benefactor, Speedy gains his complex, which was still only a small 5 room underground building, under the atlantic ocean. Over the years, Speedy himself enlarges the complex with help of his own inventions, like the Holoclones.

Strider meets Speedy.
First as enemies, but soon after battling they become friends. It's actually in a fight with Strider where Speedy realizes his Hero Mode. They meet up a lot afterwards, but in the end, Strider disappears, only to meet up with Speedy on sporadic basis.

Realization of 'Hero Mode'.
Finding out a way to reverse the robotic transformation and regaining his elemental abilities overjoyed him, but saddens him as he returns to being robotic after the 'Hero Mode' is canceled. He trains more in hope to keep his newly ability intact for longer periods.

Accident #2.
An accident occurs after using his 'Hero Mode' form, and shortly after Speedy awakes and finds himself in his human body.

Peace meets Speedy.
And similar to Strider, they meet up as enemies at first, but become friends afterwards. Peace however vanished one day, and Speedy hasn't seen him since.

Realization of Bodyswitch Ability.
Although unplanned, Speedy accidentally stumbles upon the ability to switch between both his human body and his robotic form, allowing him to use both his elemental abilities and the Mark forms.

Hawkye meets Speedy.
In a rather sudden and weird accident, Speedy's mindset became unstable and thanks to Hawkye's abilities, it was soon ended. Afterwards, the two became friends despite not meeting up again for quite a long while.

Turbo meets Speedy.
In a transportation run, Turbo comes across the planet Earth and meets up with Speedy, who becomes friends with him after fighting off a strange creature.

Hero Mode acquired as human.
Speedy, after seeing Turbo get mortally wounded in a fight, activates his 'Hero Mode' without his robotic form. He didn't even realize until after the fight, and until after it was found out Turbo was going to survive his wound, that he never switched to his robotic form before enabling the Hero Mode. He then continues training, almost completely abandoning his robotic form.

OHBI incident.
When Turbo came to warn Speedy about shadow creatures from his planet, it instead became the reason of the shadow creatures to actually attack Speedy. Luck was at their side as Speedy had just began a holographic fight, and there were several fighters ready to hold them back, one of which was Trey, which Speedy had met earlier, but Turbo met that day.
A course of bad luck happened as one of the fighters became mentally unstable, Speedy was suddenly without most of his power and Trey became dark, but in the end, all but a few shadows were destroyed, and the remaining few were taken by Trey and two by Speedy, for research.

Speedy gains means to travel interdimensional.
And afterwards, Speedy gets an interest in the game worlds. However, instead of ending up in Videoland, he finds himself in some dimensions truly based on the games, and creates himself a base of operations in the, as he called it 'Battle Network' world, where shortly afterwards he creates 'Speedy.exe', with the help of Dr. Hikari.

Venturing in the Battle Network world.
Speedy meets up with several other people, as well as netnavi's. He befriends Segare Ivan and Nadia Summers, and his netnavi Speedy.exe meets up with Turbo.exe.. Speedy sticks around the Battle Network world for a while, and still often visits. Especially after he found out some of his other friends seem to visit the same dimension as well!

Speedy meets up with Trey again.
They discuss the situation on the shadows and Trey leaves after a while. Turbo leaves the complex during this time, sure of the shadow's weakness by now.

Assault on Arlia.
After Trey receives a call about a planet named Arlia, Turbo volunteers to use one of his special abilities to get him there instantly. Speedy on the other hand too volunteers to help Trey, but gets on Arlia a while later as he needed to do other stuff beforehand.
It's the first time Speedy and Turbo come in contact with Trey's world, and also the first contact with reapers. Speedy dispatches a bunch of these reapers, and Turbo also manages to fight off a few, and in the end the three meet up along with some of Trey's allies, and while the situation wasn't completely solved, the results were satisfying. Speedy and Turbo later on  returned to their own worlds, leaving Trey to solve the rest.

Speedy manages to create the 'Crossroads'.
Maintaining it however ends up taking too much energy, and it eventually collapses. It isn't until later when Hawkye reappears and helps him with it, that it becomes a stable location. Portals are made to several of the other dimensions Speedy has visited, as well as some of Hawkye's, and even portals to just other worlds.
This allowed Speedy to meet up in person with his own netnavi along with some of his digital friends, but the original purpose of the Crossroads is lost, as it appears that whenever someone leaves, no matter which portal they take, they end up in the same location as they started. The Crossroads eventually end up as meeting place, as the innate abilities of the dimension make sure nobody can die while being there and it becomes a sort of safehaven for all.

Hawkye spars with Speedy.
And in a display of power, Speedy catches a glimpse of Hawkye's true abilities, concealing his own somewhat. He realizes if either of them turns evil, that neither of them could probably stop the other. Later on, Speedy finds out through a simulation that Hawkye possesses a lot more power than originally thought, and that he'll either need to research his friend more or train himself in case something happens, but hopes it'll never come to it.

The Great Rebuild.
Although not per sé a rebuild, Speedy manages to reconfigure and re-set his robotic form that he can switch any part of his body at any chosen time. He also changes his robotic form slightly, to the points where using his elements is quite possible and where his husk would work perfectly as armor, so he can get rid of his human form's body suit. This last however, still needs tweaking, and Speedy has yet to truly use it. His Mark forms have become obsolete by now.

Speedy finds out hidden boosts within his Hero Mode!
Calling them 'steps', Speedy trains on but finds no more than two steps. He wonders if he can go beyond it, and found out another 'step', while weaker than his second step, his stamina doesn't drop as rapidly and he can easily hold on to it. He found out it was stronger as someone he knew would be in danger, and realizes his friends are probably the source of this extended power.

IS THIS EVERYTHING?

Gawd, I'd WISH! But unfortunately, I think I'm only slightly over halfway. I have LOTS of mIRC logs to go through, and at least twice as much forum posts.  I even left out some crucial information about 'The Katana'. For now, it'll have to to do. I want to show this profile dammit!

Makes ME want to finish MY own. >_>;

I think the next obstacle I'll tackle is the battle with Strider on the old Roleplaying Zone.

I used a bunch of tools and weapons there I hardly ever use, including some alternate modes for my jets. Which are already in here, by the way.

I'll keep you guys posted on updates. Tongue

If you want to talk old and ineffectual, what about the bow and arrow you used during that early spar of ours? Tongue
